Colin Howard is a prolific artist and for four decades has been one of the go-to names for Doctor Who cover and conceptual art. He is best known for his contributions to the BBC’s video releases of the 1990s, which saw classic Doctor Who made available on home video for the first time. These releases were fundamental to keeping the Doctor Who fandom alive while the show was off air; accordingly, Colin enjoys a particularly prominent place with ‘hardcore’ Whovians. Outside of his artwork Colin is a passionate environmentalist

Following the first volume, Timeslides II delves further into the archive of Colin Howard, bringing together a wider range of artwork inspired by Doctor Who from across more than four decades. While the original book focused on the VHS covers he is best known for, this second collection explores the breadth of his work across the Doctor Who world. It features artwork created for a variety of official commissions, alongside a selection of private pieces and personal works produced over the years, sometimes simply for the stories that meant the most to him. The result is a more expansive and varied collection, filled with detailed illustrations, alternative interpretations, and previously unseen material.
