Sian Hughes is a freelance copywriter, screenwriter and award-winning short story writer whose stories have appeared online and in print. Several stories have been adapted for film or TV, appearing on the BBC, HTV and S4C, whilst an adaptation of her short story 'Consumed', starring 'The Descent's Shauna Macdonald premiered in 2021 at the Glasgow Short Film Festival. Having recently completed an MA in Creative Writing with the Open University, for which she gained a Distinction, Sian Hughes has also worked as a creative practitioner for the Arts Council of Wales. 'Pain Sluts', published by London-based independent literary publisher 'Storgy', is her debut collection of short stories.
