As the story develops we meet James, the Lord of the Black Castle and Mari's best friend. Despite their relationship, the two families are enemies. Whilst out walking one day, Mari discovers a lost tale from the Mabinogi, this transports her back in time to the time of Henry VIII, and during her adventurous journey she also learns about her family feud, can she save the day? A gripping and adventurous novel for young people by a Welsh author who's received praise for her work in all corners of the globe. Linda is thrilled that young people in Wales can now read her work in the Welsh language.
