From a very young age, Rebecca knew that she wanted to be a novelist. She gained a degree in Creative Writing from Bangor University, then worked as a teacher, Welsh development officer, humanist celebrant and most recently, a translator. She lives in St. Asaph with her husband and children. Her first novel, Mudferwi, was published in 2019, and her debut English novel, Eat.Sleep.Rage.Repeat, was released during the 2020 lockdown. #Helynt, her first novel for young adults, won the Tir na n-Og 2021 prize, and the Literature Wales Children and Young People’s Book of the Year 2021, and is now studied on the WJEC GCSE Welsh literature curriculum. Her first Middle Grade novel, Anfarwol, is on the Tir na n-Og 2026 shortlist. Rebecca is now the author of twelve contemporary novels for both adults and young adults. She also writes book reviews, conducts non-religious ceremonies, and facilitates creative workshops. She has won several of the National Eisteddfod’s writing competitions, including the Emyr Feddyg Scholarship 2017, for her shorter fiction. Insidious Ophelia is her third book published with Honno Press, and her first historical novel.
