Roger G K Penn was born and educated in Whitland, west Wales, before joining Lloyds Bank Ltd in 1976. Shortly before his retirement in 2010, he returned to Dolycwrt, where his unswerving passion for the old surgery and its proud traditions inspired him to document the building's one-hundred-year medical history. In so doing, he became a published author for the first time. Today, Roger has five major titles to his name, and he currently enjoys complementing his own work by assisting writers of non-fiction with the editing and reconstruction of their scripts. He is the author of 'Dolycwrt: The Days of a Country Doctor's Surgery', 'Wales and the All Blacks' and 'Beyond the Call of Duty'.
