Born in Lancashire, Sarah was brought up in Yorkshire and moved to Wales at eight. She studied History at university and remained in higher education as a researcher and then as a strategic planner. She has had short stories published in several anthologies and won the Firefly Children's Book Prize 2014 with this story. She also loves singing and helped found AberOpera, Aberystwyth’s opera group. She lives in mid Wales with a supportive husband and a succession of cute hamsters. Arthur and Me is her first book.
