Bywgraffiad yr Awdur / Author Biography
Richard Gwyn is a poet and translator and Professor of English Literature at Cardiff University. He spent ten years travelling the Mediterranean, much of it recorded in his award-winning memoir, The Vagabond's Breakfast . He has also published several poetry collections, most recently Stowaway (2018), two anthologies of poetry, three novels, and many articles and stories. His most recent novel is The Blue Tent (2019). He also works as a translator from Spanish, and published a major anthology of Latin American Poetry, The Other Tiger in 2016. He has also translated collections of poetry by the Argentine poets Joaquín O. Giannuzzi and Jorge Fondebrider. His most recent book of translation is a selection of poems by the Colombian Darío Jaramillo, titled Impossible Loves (2019).
