Thom Gray is an NHS social worker who has worked for mental health and peer support services for over a decade. He studied at the University of the West of England specialising in minority sexualities and has appeared on BBC television and radio to discuss LGBT+ identities, as well as having research published in the prestigious Psychology Sexuality journal. His lifelong passion however is children s television, triggered by a childhood visit to the now-defunct TV theme park Crinkley Bottom at Cricket St Thomas (aka Blobbyland ).
Since 2017 he has run Dunblobbin.com, an unofficial archive of the park, which has led to Blobby-related media appearances on Channel 5, Times Radio, and countless newspaper articles. He currently lives in Devon with a rather large collection of vintage children s television-related merchandise.
