A midwife and senior academic, equalities and queer activist and polymath, Alys was the Editor-in-Chief of the Practising Midwife Journal for four years, and also teaches academic and creative writing. An avid reader of fiction of all genres, Alys is also a pagan, vegan, and an inclusive feminist. When she is not reading, writing or working, Alys likes to cook, walk and camp in the beautiful Scottish wilds with her partner, and swim in the sea and lochs.
