As a tutor and visiting lecturer at Cardiff University \/ Welsh School of Architecture, Dan has strong design credentials with notions of architecture that stem from simple place making and pushing the boundaries of spatial understanding. Claire Benham is a multidisciplinary practitioner who pairs a rigorous background in sculpture and architecture with a spirit of childlike wonder. After earning her degree in Fine Art Sculpture and spending a transformative decade immersed in the culture of Hiroshima, Japan, Claire returned to the UK to study Interior Architecture-all of which inform her unique, tactile approach to storytelling. For Claire, materials are not just tools, but treasures to be discovered. She approaches the act of recycling as a grand adventure, reclaiming found objects and “playing” with their textures to see what they might become. By synthesizing her spatial sensibility with a curiosity for repurposed materiality, she transforms the forgotten into the extraordinary.
