This became the subject of an article by Dyfnallt: \"That night when I recounted the story of the destruction in Traws, there was a wild look in Hedd Wyn's eyes; and nobody was more outspoken against the abhorrent profanity that prostituted the vale than he was.\" In the early 1950s, there were protests by Plaid Cymru against extendingthe firing range with none other than Gwynfor Evans leading by using Gandhi's non-violent approach to opposing the regime.
