Each poet brings to this space his unique sensibilities. Mike Jenkins has been a co-editor for 26 years of Red Poets magazine which has a socialist background. His poems reveal a commitment to the common man. Ifor ap Glyn is the National Poet of Wales. He wears the title well as all his poems are originally written in Welsh, and then translated to English. Eric Ngalle Charles’s poems on the other hand are steeped in Bakweri oral traditions. Nevertheless, this is no poetic tourism with resonances of cultural appropriation and exoticism.
